Job description

A Data Analyst is responsible for conducting full life cycle data analysis, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation, and reporting. The candidate will work closely with management to develop data-driven solutions that improve business processes and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques; provide ongoing reports.

• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

• Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain data systems and databases.

• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets.

• Filter and clean data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems.

• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.

• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.

• Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with reporting packages (e.g., Business Objects), databases (e.g., SQL), and programming (e.g., XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).

• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS).

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Skilled in writing queries, generating reports, and presenting findings effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
